The Home Buying Process

To help you understand the process, we've outlined most of the key steps to buying a home, and we’ve detailed the ways that we can provide assistance.

Step 1: Get Pre-Approved For a Loan

This is probably the best advantage you can give yourself as a buyer. Sellers will take your offer more seriously and you’ll have an edge over buyers who are not pre-approved.

It is important to know how much you will qualify for prior to searching for a new home. Remember that you don't always have to put down 20 percent. There are loans available with little to no down payment.

Step 2: Find the Right Lender and Real Estate Agent

We work with the top Mortgage Professionals in the industry and our Team of Licensed Real Estate Agents are available 7 days a week to help answer your questions and get you started.

Step 3: Learn the Market - Register for Our “Home Alerts”

One of the best ways to learn about the market is to be constantly looking at properties. To register for our Home Alerts, simply go to our “Property Search,” define what you’re looking for, click on “Save this Search” and select how often you want to receive email “Alerts.”  You will receive a comprehensive list of available area properties and will be updated as new homes become available. This will help you become familiar with what’s on the market and how homes are priced.

Step 4: Make an Offer on the Home you want

Our agents are trained to negotiate the best deal for you. Most sellers price their homes a bit high; our experienced agents will advise you on the real market value of the properties you like making it easy to determine the price you are willing to pay.

Step 5: Getting a Home Inspection

After signing a contract of sale, you will want to get a home inspection, which will identify any physical defects of the property.  This will give you the peace of mind that you are buying a home that meets your expectations. This will help avoid any surprises later on!

 Step 6: Need an Attorney

Once the buyer and seller come to agreement, a contract of sale is needed.  Our network of experienced attorney’s will help protect your interests and provide you with the legal support you need throughout the process.

Step 7: Secure Your Loan

When you find the right home, we can make the process of financing easier with one-stop shopping for a broad selection of loan products from Reliant Home Funding. They will help you choose the right loan based on your current finances and how long you plan to own your home.

Step 8: Closing

After finding the home of your dreams, making the offer, completing an inspection, and securing a mortgage you’ll be ready for the closing.  At this stage of the home buying process, you will sign all mortgage documents and any other paperwork needed to complete the transaction.  The title of the home, in the form of a deed, will also be transferred to you at this time.

Our team of professionals will provide you with the information and advice you need to make this process as simple as possible.
